Mike Dorsey - Bio
Mike Dorsey
began his entertainment career in film and commercial production,
working on feature films, TV shows, commercials and short films
as a producer, writer, director and assistant director. Notable
productions include commercial spots for Pepsi, Budweiser and Ford,
and programming for Fuel TV.
Along the way, he has served as a reader for both The Radmin Company
and a prominent entertainment lawyer; as the Director of Acquisitions
& Sales at a prestigious producer's representation company;
and as an account executive at two entertainment PR firms, handling
A-list actors and DVD promotions for Warner Bros., Buena Vista and
Columbia TriStar. Most recently he served as the Director of Programming
for a “new media” VOD network. Mike is currently the
VP of Production for Tenacity Entertainment.
Mike's recent projects include co-producing the 2005 Tampa Pro and
2005 World Ski and Snowboard Festival for Fox Sports’ Fuel
TV, co-producing and directing a television series pilot on Hollywood
history, and writing and directing his latest 35mm short film. Future
projects include additional action sports content for television
and video, commercial spots and more short films.
One of Mike's projects, “Reveille,” an award winning short
he co-produced starring David Huddleston (The Big Lebowski) and
James McEachin (Perry Mason) was accepted at nearly two-dozen film
festivals, winning top honors at fourteen of them, and was screened
for U.S. troops in Iraq in 2004.
Mike currently produces a show, "Havoc on the 101," for Havoc Television, airing 35-hours per week on DirecTV's Channel 101. He is also the show's head writer.
He holds a degree
in Marketing from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State
University.
